School Rules

DO

  • speak in the target language
  • respect other people, both in and outside of the classroom
  • respect the classroom, the school buildings and other people’s property
  • keep the school buildings tidy

DO NOT

  • interrupt when someone else is talking
  • disrupt others
  • eat or drink in class (except water) or chew chewing gum
  • wear inappropriate clothing
  • wear hats or baseball caps in the classroom
  • use inappropriate or offensive language in any language
  • argue with the teachers’ decisions during class
  • throw things in the classroom or school building
  • smoke outside the designated area or without an ashtray
  • bully other people, physically, emotionally or verbally
  • make racist, sexist or homophobic comments, even in jest
  • access areas of the computer network other than the student server, or use the computers for non-academic purposes
  • plagiarise or falsify any documents
  • steal or borrow other people’s property without their permission
  • bring, sell, buy or use illegal substances before or during school
  • drink alcohol during the school day (this includes lunch break)
  • use your mobile phone during lessons

Using your academic time wisely

DO

  • attend ALL lessons
  • arrive punctually BEFORE the second bell
  • be prepared with all relevant materials BEFORE the second bell
  • complete and hand in your homework on time
  • listen to others in class discussions and participate appropriately
