Physics Excursion
EC2, EC3 and EC4 Excursion to the Technorama in Winterthur
Date still to be determined
Every year, the Physics department organises an academic excursion to the Technorama (Swiss Science Center) in Winterthur.
During this excursion, students have the opportunity to delve deeply into the topics of electricity, fluid dynamics, advanced materials and quantum mechanics.
The concepts that comprise these fields of study are part of the IGCSE and the A-level courses, and students are tested on these topics in their external written examinations at the end of term.
The arrangements for the day are as follows:
Meeting time | Punctually at 09:00, at the group meeting point in the Zurich main station |
End | Approximately 15:30 |
Lunch and tickets | The school will cover the cost of admission to the Technorama and the train tickets, but students will need money for lunch. |
A more detailed itinerary will be posted here and sent to parents and students in due course.
