Entry requirements for universities outside Switzerland
In principle, almost every university in the world has its own entry requirements. The table below sets out some general guidelines. (IGCSEs are foundation level exams; AS levels (AS) are lower advanced level exams; A levels (AL) are higher advanced level exams.)

Assisted admission to English universities from the age of 21
From the age of 21 students in England and Scotland are considered to be ‘mature’. This means they may be admitted to a programme of study even if they do not fulfil the entry requirements for younger students.
Assisted admission to the University of London distance-learning programmes
Two A levels and three IGCSEs (minimum grade C) qualify students for the University of London distance-learning programmes.
