After completing the Swiss Matura at Wetzikon Grammar School (Kantonsschule Wetzikon) and a number of GCE examinations (British university entrance examinations), he took a licentiate degree in German and English Philology at the University of Zurich and qualified as a grammar school teacher.<\/p><p>When his father, Dr James Hull, retired from the school at the end of 1989, Robin Hull took over responsibility for Hull&#8217;s School and continued to build on the tradition of high educational standards that had been established over nearly five decades. For several years he divided his time between the Swiss army, in which he rose to the rank of major, and working at his father&#8217;s school as a part-time teacher and administrator.<\/p><p>Robin Hull takes a personal interest in all aspects of the school and maintains close contact with teachers and students. As a curator for the International Aldous Huxley Society he is actively involved in the study of literature and philosophy. He is also involved in a number of national and international bodies, serving as a Board Member for the Swiss Alpine Middle School Davos (SAMD) and as an editor of the Swiss Education Report (Schweizerischer Bildungsbericht). Until April 2023 he acted as President of the Swiss Dyslexia Association (VDS). He has contributed a number of essays to the Aldous Huxley Annual and other publications and has authored two books \u2013 A Guide to the Swiss Educational System and a brief history of the City of Z\u00fcrich (Kleine Geschichte der Stadt Z\u00fcrich).<\/p><p>He is married to Ieva Hull, herself a dedicated teacher of English and an accomplished linguist.
