Travel disruption World Cycling Championships

Published: September 17, 2024

Dear Parents,
As many of you may be aware, the World Cycling Championships will be held in Zürich from September 21st to September 29th.

There will be travel restrictions in or around the various school buildings during these dates with some road closures.

1. Tram traffic to Opernhaus (Trams 2 and 4) will not operate until 19:00 each evening. After that, most lines will run on the usual routes.
2. Stadelhofen Bahnhof will be open although arrival times of some trains during the mornings and afternoons may be affected.
3. Some of the streets around the school will be closed for bicycle and scooter traffic.
4. The Forchbahn will still be in operation.

It would be advisable for any students that travel to school by tram (lines 2 and 4) to travel to the school via the HB to Stadelhofen. There will be a replacement bus service between Kreuzstrasse and Tiefenbrunnen.

Students are requested to also check the SBB app on a daily basis during the duration of the event.

The two links below contain more detailed information about these travel restrictions.

We thank you for your understanding and apologise for any disruption this may cause.

Kind regards,
